Marine Animals Amigurumi Patterns

Marine Animals Amigurumi Patterns

The ocean is full of amazing creatures from sharks and whales to jellyfish and octopi, and I love these beautiful patterns that bring them to life.

This year, my younger brother asked for a shark amigurumi for Christmas and I can’t decide if I want to make only a shark or one of these adorable animals too.

For the shark, I found a great paid pattern by Theresa’s Crochet Shop on Etsy and I ended up buying a few of her other patterns too. They work up quickly and look quite realistic.

Studies found that most people are more motivated to make something from a paid pattern than a free one. If you haven’t tried it before, it’s completely safe to make a purchase from Etsy. But I know that money is tight for lots of people, so if you don’t want to spend money on paid patterns, check out these free amigurumi patterns for marine animals below.

Shark & Whale Amigurumi Patterns

Create your own marine animal kingdom with these amazing patterns by great amigurumi designers around the world. These shark and whale amigurumi patterns are just too adorable to pass up.

Octopus & Jellyfish Amigurumi Patterns

Jellyfish and octopi are some of the easiest amigurumi patterns for beginners to try. This is mainly because you only have to create one simple spherical shape, and four to eight tentacles and arms with the same pattern.

Are you a fan of marine animals? Have you made any of these amigurumi patterns before? I’d love to see your projects! Please post pictures in the comments below or share with me on Facebook: Amigurumi SA

Hi Barbara Cohen! A lot of amigurumi can be made with any size yarn, but a lot of crocheted animals/dolls require a worsted weight/size 4 yarn and a G or H crochet hook. I hope this helps!

Sorry that didn’t make sense, I meant a lot of amigurumi can be made with any size hook and yarn, but most are made with worsted weight/size for yarn. Sorry ’bout my confusing-ness!
