Hippos might be one of Africa’s most deadly animals, but they sure look adorable with their squishy faces and fat rolls. Even cuter is this amigurumi pattern for Harriet, the hippo, from Jess Huff.

Hippo amigurumi free pattern
You will need:
- 3.5 mm (E) hook
- 15 mm safety eyes
- Yarn needle
- Fiber fill
Yarn: Acrylic or cotton, worsted or DK weight, in light pink, white and 3 shades of teal.
You can make this hippo in any colour you want. You can also use 4ply cotton yarn with a 2 mm hook to create a smaller hippo.
